CobraRTP Honda Edition R9. Latest for Honda OBD0/1.

We should inform you that we are finishing further development of solutions for OBD0/1, and start moving towards solutions for Honda K-series.

And the latest of its kind will be the new CobraRTP Honda Edition R9!

What’s new, unlike R8 and previous ones:

-New structure that has no buffer SRAM to be real time!

-The size of the board is smaller by 5mm

-More reliable hardware

-Added vertical board fixer

At the moment, this is the simplest schematic that has only one memory chip, no separate USB-controller and no FPGA / CPLD.

Finally, we have released a new revision (version) of the Honda Edition - R8! We decided to discuss this, since the R8 is significantly different from the previous R7.

After finding some time for research activities, we decided to simplify and thereby improve our main products based on ARM microcontrollers (STM32), which are FlashOnline, CobraRTP Honda Edition and MotronicRT.

Background

All our devices with a USB interface communicate with a PC as a USB-COM bridge (virtual COM port). To do this, we used USB controllers as separate microcircuits, which are tasked with coordinating communication between the PC and the device's processor.

Recently, all efforts have been thrown into the completion of FlashOnline, as well as to overcome the difficulties with the global shortage of chips, which forced us to find new reliable suppliers and choose delivery times and ultimately fulfill orders. The cost of production increased due to the rise in prices for electronic components, but we did not change the cost of the final product.

Hardware table tracing is a function that allows you to keep track of which areas of memory the ECU processor is accessing.
