Finally, we have released a new revision (version) of the Honda Edition - R8! We decided to discuss this, since the R8 is significantly different from the previous R7.
What's new?
Unlike the previous version of R7, we have completely redesigned the board, and also changed the device layout. Namely, the USB controller was removed as a separate chip (FTDI), as well as the components necessary for its operation. Instead, we "tamed" the ARM microcontroller's built-in USB full-speed module, freeing up space on the board and redesigning it to make the board smaller by 15%. It is also worth noting that the data exchange speed has increased, and for Windows 10/11 a USB driver is not required at all!
